Hear ye! Hear ye!

Hey everybody! For those of you who have been keeping up and praying for me, I have to say that I am incredibly thankful for you and your prayers. The last two weeks and even into today have been quite challenging, but great at the same time. I have been going through some trials as the enemy has been attacking me in my thoughts regarding my potential,doubts, and etc. I´ve been doing great in my classes so far and the Lord has placed me with some awesome room mates and new friends here at Calvary Chapel Bible College. I´ve been taking a class called Inductive Bible Study and I´ve been learning how to lead a Bible study or how to study the Bible and make outlines, etc. For awhile, even before coming back to Peru I´ve been asking the Lord in my heart not in prayer but just small whispers from my soul that I would be taught how to teach and in the Lord´s timing be given opportunities to teach whenever there is an available spot open.

The Lord has answered such prayers but before He did the enemy was attacking me during this class as I was learning how to teach the Bible or lead a Bible study. These answered requests or prayers were the greatest presents I could receive during this season of this semester. Towards the end of this two week long class I was approached and asked if I wanted to lead a VBS class in Spanish (big challenge FYI) and I said "Uh, sure." Meanwhile thinking, all I need to do is ask some basic questions in Spanish and read the text in Spanish from the Bible and make sure these 4-6 year olds don´t create a havoc. One girl who witnessed my crazy agreement couldn´t believe it and then about two hours later it dawned on me for what I agreed to. Though, I realized that the Lord has been wanting me to be more available to His voice and for any need that may come my way and trust Him in those things. So, I will only be doing this once due to the fact that some of the normal leaders for this VBS service time are helping out at a surf camp that Calvary Chapel Lima holds on a annual basis. The battle has been tough, but not impossible. The Lord has been speaking to me through my peers in this IBS class without even them knowing it until I briefly mentioned it in class and many of their answers to responding to our bible studies ministered to me. My next class that I have is Church History and it will start next week. In the mean time I am taking a discipleship class and an Apologetics class. Anyway, gotta run. OH! I took a few vids and pictures in San Juan de Lurigancho last Saturday and I´ll try and find a means to send them back to the States or just wait to give them to my church back home when I get home.
